Hey everyone!
Well August is almost over and I'm currently half way through my lovely 10 day staycation!
Tomorrow I'm travelling up to Yorkshire to stay with my family for a few days and, while I'm there, I also have a job interview in York which I'm really dreading!
The job is still in finance but is apparently better paid for less work - which is always good! I've already passed round one of the interviews so fingers crossed for round 2 - and I will definitely be treating myself to a shopping spree in Meadowhall afterwards!
So I will be MIA from posting for the next few days but will be back to my regularly scheduled babblings on Friday!

The lace trend has most definitely hit Hollywood this month, with a whole host of glamorous ladies choosing delicate brocade dresses for their red carpet appearances. Emmy Rossum looked the epitome of monochrome glamour in her black and white Zuhair Murad dress and ruby red lips, while Anna Friel wins the award for most unusual outfit of the month (and my favourite of this section) with her Elizabeth Bennet-eqsue vintage white lace dress and hat at Goodwood!

These lovely ladies have definitely been making the most of the US Summer season showing off their perfect tans in adorable ladylike mini dresses! Mena Suvari attended the 11th Annual Instyle Summer Soiree in a beautiful George Chakra Couture dress with floral detailing at the collar. And Miranda Kerr was definitely a girl after my own heart this month in her stunning tropical print Lisa Ho dress and Manolos!

August has definitely been the month for va-va-voom gowns - with both Ashley Greene and Kate Beckinsale competing for the title of Queen of the Red Carpet! Ashley was clearly channeling old Hollywood glamour in her hot pink backless gown at the premiere of her new movie Apparition. While my favourite look of the month has to be Kate Beckinsale - her Donna Karan bow front dress with thigh high split at the premiere of Total Recall was absolutely drop dead gorge!

TV stars-cum-fashionistas Rachel Bilson and Sophia Bush were both bang on trend this month with their sleek and chic tailored looks! Rachel looked as cute as a button in her nude and black blouse/fitted trouser combo at the August CBS party, while Sophia opted for a more daring take on the tailored look in skintight leather trousers and a gorgeous black & white blazer!

I think my favourite out of all of the outfits is Ashley's hot pink backless gown. I just think it is classic and really accentuates her tan.
